UNDERSTANDING FOOT DROP
Foot drop may occur temporarily in some cases or develop into a lasting issue if not addressed promptly. It refers to difficulty lifting the front portion of the foot. Individuals with foot drop often find themselves dragging the front of their foot while walking. This condition typically points to an underlying nerve, muscle, or physical problem. As a result, people with foot drop may scrape their toes on the ground or compensate by lifting their knees higher than usual to avoid dragging. Foot drop is a frustrating and common issue that can increase the risk of trips and falls.
